Day 1

Today is my first offical day and I did good! I had an 1100 calorie deficit and although I really wanted to eat something, I'm just going to go to bed instead. (Although I considered running up and down my stairs for while so I could have a snack...I'll just sleep instead).
I had an awesome workout this morning which always makes the day go easier. I feel good!
My husbands family wanted to get together for dinner tonight and we ended up eating out, I had a salad and was sad to return home and find out that my "good choice" ended up being a 700 calorie meal all because I forgot to get my dressing on the side...whops! Oh well it was still a better choice than anything else. AND I was still able to meet my goal for today. Well I'd better get some sleep!

New Year New Body!

Hi

Thanks for checking out my fitness blog! I will be posting pictures, updates, and just talking about my fitness goals and progress. Today is the first official day of my new fitness routine and I'm totally psyched! I've been wanting to get back to my "pre-wedding" weight (and even a little less) ever since I got home from my honeymoon! Now after having my first baby, I've got even more weight to lose and none of my clothes fit so I'm very motivated! Here's a little bit about my fitness goals for the next year...

Current weight: 161.2

Goal weight: 130

Date to reach goal weight: April 2nd, 2009

Weekly goal: 2.5lbs per week!

Tools to help me lose weight:

1. Apex bodybugg system: Ever heard of the bodybugg? It's AWESOME! It's a little device you wear on your arm and it detects the amount of calories you burn. Then you upload the info to your account and input what you eat. Your account tells you your calorie defecit (or surplus, but hopefully not!) and keeps you on track to meet your goals. I love it!

2. Personal trainer: Mike from Fitness Works is going to kick my butt into high gear, help keep me motivated, keep me accountable, and help me tone my body. I'll be training twice a week along with working out 6 times a week.

3. Some "lifesaver" foods: I LOVE 45 calorie bread from Sara Lee! It makes a great low cal sandwich! Also Skinny Cow low calorie ice cream sandwiches. When I absolutely have to have a dessert, I reach for one of these and it satisfies me while keeping me on track too--only 140 cals!

Well here it goes! Wish me luck!!!

Starting picture (ugh I hate this pic, but I'm posting it anyway to remind me of where I started...)

I'm going to be here in 12 weeks...
